Impressionistic Photography

Impressionistic photo images of Claude Monet's magnificent Water Lilies, taken on film at his home and garden in Giverny, July 2007.
My Impressionistic photographs were created solely in the field. No filters were used and no lab or computer manipulation was utilized.

I was born in Haifa in 1957. My art is deeply rooted in my family?s spiritual history and geographical location. Roman family had lived in the holy city of Safed for five generations.
For years, my heart went after the French Impressionism; I particularly loved Claude Monet's ways of seeing the world. I started to search for photographic ways to enrich the viewer's senses, experiencing nature's many spheres. I experiment with photographic techniques to recreate such expressions.
Finally, I developed my unique technique of Impressionistic photography. My art is created solely with a Film camera, by a unique technique of multiple exposures. No filters are used and there is no lab or computer manipulation.
These days, I teach nature-art photography workshops for small groups of creative photographers. I also lecture about my unique Impressionistic Photography.

In July 2007, I finally reached Claude Monet's home and garden in Giverny, France. I wanted to capture my own impression of his magnificent Water Lilies, on film. My Water Lilies series of images I share here with you
