In 2005 the Steinway Piano Co of New York received an order for fifty-four baby grand pianos. from one client the Cork School of Music in southern Ireland. This constituted the biggest single order of its type that Steinway had ever received in its 154 year history. All the pianos were hand built and delivered to the school in June 2007.
