Lopez's photography work concerns itself with the natural world and the problems that humans have contributed to global warming, contaminated water, polluted air, the dying off of species, etc.. Much of her work is landscape often composited. Other work includes birds, botanicals and natural history objects. Her work is in many collections and she has exhibited extensively in the US as well as numerous countries around the world with her award winning photos. She has been published and has completed an artist's residency at Ragdale in Lake Forest, IL.
