In Between

This project is an ongoing investigation into the practice of empathy and the psychological spaces of the people surrounding me. I am drawn to mundane scenes that are both mysterious and universal. These scenes are understandable but not totally explicit and I invite the viewer to stay with the scene, to relay the importance of these everyday moments that normally pass by without a thought.

Taking pictures of my friends and family in the spaces they normally inhabit I use a 4 x 5 camera with minimal staging and natural light.
