Artist Statement Of Ms LINDA LOOI:

I am a visual artist in the field of fine arts, specializing in acrylic paintings and photography artworks.

My abilities and skills for painting and photography were cultivated and nurtured throughout my life, via my travels abroad to the United Kingdom and Australia, with the process of self-discovering my interest and aptitude for nature: flora, fauna and landscape types of painting and photography works of art. This long journey of over 10 years has now led to my current interest of sharing my talent to all - both locally as well as internationally, as a photographer and an acrylic artist for the contemporary individual of the 21st century.

My Past Works/Exhibitions include the following:

1) Public Exhibition of my Photography Entry titled Embracing the Light A Womans Cancer Journey in the Lilly Oncology on Canvas International Art Competition - at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London (Group Representation): 2004. It was also selected for the Travelling World Tour Exhibitions in Designated Countries throughout the world: 2005-6; and

2) Public Exhibition of my Acrylic Painting Entry titled The Prize of Life in the Lilly Oncology on Canvas International Art Competition - at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London (Group Representation): 2006. It was further selected for the Travelling World Tour Exhibitions in Designated Countries throughout the world: 2007-8.

I get my inspiration through nature and spirituality, and also from eastern and western methodology, preferring to specialize in realistic, naturalistic and representational freehand-sketching-drawings and paintings of flora (flowers and plants), fauna (animals), and landscapes (aerial), including seascapes, riverscapes and urbanscapes. In photography, I like to specialize in nature - (macro) fine art (documentary) types - in flora, fauna (including insects) and landscapes.

Each of my original painting and photography work carries its own weight of distinctive uniqueness and can be appreciated by all - both young and old, singles, couples and families, as well as from all nationalities and cultures.
