I have been painting and drawing since I was a child. Art was always my passion. However, I went iinto foreign languages and teaching as I thought this would be a safer option as a career. In my middle thirties I decided I wanted to follow my dream of becoming a professional artist no matter what. By that time I had emigrated to England from Greece. I completed a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art and I am now studying for a Masters degree in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, England.
I now work across the media and my inspiration comes mainly from my childhood and my homecountry. This photographic work marks 20 years living in England. Through these photomontages I express my hybrid identity, I reflect on my transition to another country and mark places and elements in my life that have been /are significant.
