Traveling through Myanmar (Burma) during December 2006 ? January 2007, I was fascinated by he peacefulness and kindness of the Burmese people living under the strictly forced military Junta regime. A country where the predominant religion is Theravada Buddhism, practicing monks and nuns hustle and bustle to the Yangon city beat just like any New Yorker businessman. Coming from the west, I conceive Buddhist monks to be very spiritual and revered. In my photos, I wanted to capture the juxtapose of these monks and nuns in ?every day? situations.
