Black & White photograph using a Canon Rebel XTI, of Actor and Model Nahesi Crawford of LA California USA
Debra Frieden is an freelance photographer currently residing in the United States. Debra's love affair with photography began at the age of 17. At this young age; Debra, using her trusty Minolta 35mm camera, documented her visit to Egypt. While photographing the Sahara Desert, the Great Pyramids and the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, and the Temple of Karnak was the most excitement she had known in her youth.
What made the greatest impression on her, was the machine gun wielding soldier that grabbed her camera, violently ripping out the film. Not knowingly, Debra had broken the law while attempting to photograph a woman at a train stop. Camera returned and still a bit shaky Debra realized; a photographs importance can transcend the beauty and information it provides. That was 1981, since then, Debra has competed and won honors for her photographic work in both national and international competitions. Debra's work has been included in the Best of Photography Competitions, for the past two years in a row. These competitions and resulting publications are sponsored by Canon and Nikon representing the best of international photography. Debra attended the Atlanta College of Art.
