The situation in Gaza has been described as catastrophic due to a combination of ongoing conflict, economic hardship, and humanitarian crises.

The current conflict has caused massive casualties, destruction of infrastructure, and displacement of people. The blockade imposed by Israel and Egypt also severely restricts the movement of goods and people, leading to shortages of essential supplies like food, medicine, and fuel.

Repeated airstrikes and shelling have devastated Gaza's infrastructure, including homes, schools, hospitals, and water and electricity networks. The healthcare system in
