As a travelling photographer, I am since 2018 working on a series I call Marred Landscapes. Sadly, in the summer of 2023, I found more than enough material for my series in Alaska, so I call this sub-series "Alaska 23".
It troubles me deeply that we leave all kinds of objects behind in the landscape all over the world, in rich and poor countries alike, and act as if it didn't really matter and nothing destructive ever happened. Yet, the natural landscapes of the world should be pristine and not marred by human-made objects, not to mention the poisonous long-term consequences.
