Pieces from North Korea

Thousands of fragments invade South Korean shores, they have barcodes starting on 867, use kilojoules, or are straight copycats of foreign products. These are some of the characteristics of these objects. All of them have one thing in common, they came from North Korea.

These are objects from a country where food insecurity affected 40% of its population in 2019. Behind the banality of a chocolate wrapper or a yogurt tub lays directly the policies of the regime, because in North Korea, consumer goods are often painted as 'gifts' from the leaders.
