In a heavily sanctioned Iran, children prowl the streets looking for garbage to resell. Here in the evening hours.

Sometimes sent at the behest of family, as contributors to the household income; other times as orphans working for someone. Frequently observed with facial scars. As such they occupy a niche in the larger economy that enables their survival.
