The Enneüs Heermabridge

Designed by the English architect Nicholas Grimshaw, the bridge was installed in 2000 and is one of the largest bridges in Amsterdam. The two large spans are each 75 meters long. It was opened in 2001 and was the first completed bridge in IJburg and it serves as the main gateway to IJburg. It’s being used for car since opening and the IJtram (line 26) runs over the bridge since 2005. Connecting the Zeeburgereiland with the Steigereiland in the Amsterdam East district it is named after a politician (Enneüs Heerma).

My photography focusses mainly on (fine art) Architecture where I feel like I'm having a look through the eyes of the architect. I like to shoot the smallest abstract details to the complete buildings to tell the complete story in all it's shapes and forms.
