In Her Footsteps

Every day across Africa, elephants are killed by poachers to meet
the demand of ivory. We must do what we can to reduce the
demand and stop the ivory trade. My African elephant Portraits
aim to illustrate the incredible beauty of these creatures.

Pamela Pauline is a photographic artist who has gained recognition for her composite photography works that celebrate the natural beauty of Australia. In 2021, Pamela won the ‘National Trust Heritage Award for Exhibitions’ for her body of work entitled “Fragile Beauty Rich and Rare” as well winning the Still Life Category of the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for female photographers. As a 2022 Visiting Scholar of the State Library of NSW, Pamela was awarded the opportunity to research more deeply the narratives which drive her practice, expanding her visual language.
