Inspired by Church

One of the most exciting things that happened in Tel Aviv in the last decade, and
certainly from the fashionable aspect, is the arrival of refugees and asylum seekers from
Africa.
The refugees add a lot of color and authentic cultural diversity to the Tel Aviv street.
In these fashion shots we took inspiration from the Africans I see, going to the
makeshift churches in the weekends.
The African heritage is manifested in prints, materials and turbans. And black culture in
general - dreadlocks, hip hop, gangsta, and more.
Emmanuel Lam, the handsome model in these photographs, came to Israel along a tortuous
route, nine years ago, from South Sudan, with his mother and brothers. I met him in the
street in South Tel Aviv.

Born in Europe raised in Israel.
Specializing in people.
