'A new kind of beauty' is a series of portraits of people who've recreated themselves through plastic surgery
Phillip Toledano believes that every photograph should start with an idea, whether it be a single image, or series. He also believes that a photograph should be like an unfinished sentence. There should always be space for questions.
When not talking about himself in the third person, Phillip keeps himself busy shooting a wide variety of slightly odd topics. His work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Details, GQ, and Esquire, to name a few.
A book of his photographs, entitled ?Bankrupt, photographs of recently vacated offices? was published by Twin Palms in 2005. He is currently working on his next book "The United States of Entertainment'
