What inspires you to keep pursuing stories that challenge, move, and connect people across different cultures and experiences?
At a time when the world often feels divided, I’m drawn to stories like the Sinulog, where faith, joy, and community overflow into the streets. Being there — surrounded by music, color, and devotion — reminded me why I photograph: to witness and share these moments that reveal both our differences and our deep similarities. Wherever I go, I see the same threads of humanity — connection, resilience, and the beauty of belonging. My hope is that these images help others feel that too.
Charreada: A Stylish Rodeo
What inspires you to keep pursuing stories that challenge, move, and connect people across different cultures and experiences?
What inspires me to keep pursuing stories like the charreada is the way they reveal culture as something both timeless and alive. In Mexico, these traditional rodeos are not just displays of skill and bravery — they’re rituals of identity, pride, and community. Standing by the arena, watching generations come together in a swirl of dust, rhythm, and color, I’m reminded how traditions endure by evolving, how they bind people through shared values and memory. Through my photographs, I try to honor that spirit — capturing not only the spectacle, but the humanity that sustains it.
