A Show of Hands is a collection of portraits of labourers, artists, sports people, artisans and musicians that focuses entirely on the subjects hands where the story of their life is etched. The full collection is of 100 images spanning many years of work.
Tim Booth’s instantly recognisable shooting style echoes across both his portraiture, landscape and circus work, deceptively simple and shunning unnecessary elaboration, his photographs are often both profound and affecting. His most recent work in progress entitled C I R C U S is a collection of photographs of circus performers, focusing on the bodies and the incredible physical talents of his subjects, the collection is still growing, collecting new disciplines and ideas all the time and is due for completion early next year.
