The power of nature

Power of nature. Sergio Tapiro has been documenting Colima Volcano in Mexico since 2002 trying to capture nature forces. On december 13th of 2015 Colima Volcano presented explosions that sometimes produced lightnings originated from friction of ash particles. The eruption's lightning could be so powerful that can bright parts of the scene like a big heaven strobe.

Sergio Tapiro is an award-winning photographer that specializes on nature photography and volcano photography. Photojournalist, nature and documentary photography was named Nikon Mexico Ambassador on 2018. Winner of 2017 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year, 2016 World Press Photo among other international contests. One of his winning photographs, that shows a volcano in eruption with a lightning is one if the best known volcano pictures around the world.
