Thousands of Brazilians far-right on January 8, 2023, assaulted the Presidential Palace, the National Congress and the Supreme Court in Brasilia, destroying everything in their path. Rioters demanded military intervention and the recognition of Jair Bolsonaro as new president.
After few hours of chaos and fear for the Brazilian democracy, police special force took control of the buildings using tear gases, stun grenades and helicopters. At the end of the day more than 2000 of the Bolsonaro supporters were arrested and the calm came back after the storm in Brazil.
