A Bridge Beyond
Memorial Bridge, Maryland, USA. Looking towards the estuary on the Susquehanna River with multiple bridges in the background. I have been taken by the shape and symmetry of the metal girder structures in close proximity for some time and finally found a vantage point off an old jetty to capture their complimentary forms. Taken early one morning on a cold still and cloudless day, accentuating the contrast and reflections to highlight their interweaving patterns.
My photographic journey began over 40 years ago as a teenager learning the fundamentals of the craft in the darkroom and with large plate cameras. This early interest was matched by my passion for technology and entrepreneurship which has led me on path of discovery and exploration in countries and cultures throughout the world. Having lived and worked on four continents, I now reside in the USA and combine extensive global travel with a passion for Fine Art photography."I try to distill an image down to its uncluttered form, which is why I favor B+W where less can hopefully say more."
