Unlike other cities I have photographed, it is very difficult to get permission to photograph directly over Paris. Very few people have been granted this permission, and as of now, all permissions have now been halted for security reasons. Paris is a uniquely beautiful city where building height is restricted protecting the historic architecture and creating a human scale with light filled streets connecting squares monuments parks and museums. My architecture and art background influence my work. I search for interesting patterns and geometry, as well as symmetry and order from the air.

Photographer, architect, and pilot Jeffrey Milstein has had a love for aircraft since childhood. After graduating from the University of CA, Berkeley, Milstein used his passion for flying to inspire his art. Milstein is known for his aerial shots of cities, as well as his photos of aircraft mid-flight. His work has been featured in publications such as the NY Times, Time, European Photography, and LA Times. It has been showcased in both the US and Europe and is represented by Kopeikin Gallery in LA, Benrubi Gallery in NYC, Bau-Xi Gallery in Toronto, and ARTITLEDcontemporary in the Netherlands.
