The project "Monuments" explores the boundaries of historical
memory, the zone between fact and fiction. Each of us individually,
like the political regimes in general, tend to exploit the images of
the past for current needs or future purposes. To manipulate the
images of past history are new interpretations and additional
constructions are being completed. On abandoned historical sites I
build light structures in the form of abstract modernistic forms
transforming the historical ruin into a modern object and thereby
imitating the position of power over history.
During the shooting no objects were damaged, after the work was
over all the scenery was dismantled.
