One of my favorite places to photograph is the ocean. The way the water splashes everywhere creating a beautiful chaotic mess, spilling over whatever is in its path. I could tell the seas were rough that night while hiking down to the rocky Kaua'i coastline. After scrambling along the rugged shore I found this spot. I set up my camera and just waited, watching the coast, the waves and the swells. After 30 minutes or so, right before I was about to get up and move to another spot this large wave appeared to form. I watched it grow and grow until it collided with the coast, and it was captured.
