The hot and rich palette of trees caught in the sunlight against a threatening stormy sky. I captured the moment when these trees seemed to have been set on fire by enchantment.
Born in Canada in 1970 from a South Korean father and a Belgian mother, Catherine was raised in Paris and studied at The Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). She moved to the UK in the early 1990s. Trained in drawing, painting and sculpture at the Charles Cecil Studio, Florence, Central St Martin, London and The Heatherley School of Fine Art, London. She also worked for over ten years on a major interior design project which she led with the renowned British interior designer David Mlinaric (founder of the MHZ bureau). She is a self taught photographer inspired by the natural world.
