Fairy tales are deconstructed and put back together in unexpected ways in which roles are switched, worlds collide and a little dog strives for confidence and happiness. Dogs are the link between nature and culture. They help us connect with our animal side while at the same time making us more human. Traditional fairy tales crumble under the weight of modern society and only the dog can help us get our bearings in this cruel new world. At once an intimate exploration of the narrator’s psyche, a commentary on the human condition and a demonstration of the importance of dogs in our lives.
