Aftermath "A Burnt Landscape".

In late 2019 and early 2020 Australia suffered devastating bushfires.

It is estimated that 186,000 square kilometers of land were destroyed including 2,779 homes. 34 people were killed in the fires and many more were seriously injured suffering burns and smoke inhalation. It is also estimated that a billion animals were killed by the fires and some endangered species may have been driven to extinction.

My series “Aftermath” depicts images of burnt landscapes and is a reminder of the devastation, distress and wreckage to our environment. I hope these images highlight the need for change.
