After suffering a major stroke leaving former photojournalist and filmmaker J. Fredric May legally blind and subject to vivid visual hallucinations, he was effectively able to replicate artistically what was happening with information within his own brain. He took facial fragments that filled half of his lost visual field and utilized imaging software that corrupts visual data. The result is his current project, Apparition: Postcards From Eye See You.
