A Cybernetic Pastime

As Tokyo prepares for the 2020 Olympics, now postponed to 2021, the prefecture and country has been making changes. The changes have however, barely skimmed the core of what the country faces in terms of socioeconomic issues, and ended up being more of a physical change.

The physical changes live up to the external expectations of Tokyo- a flashy, hyper-modern, almost cyber feel.

This series explores and attempts to enhance the extra nature of these surreal "changes", by showing the simmering advertisements and lights- what people expect of my hometown.

I'm an American/Japanese photographer based in Tokyo. I started photography a few years ago, and decided to make it my life work last year.

I do anything from documentary work, candid photography, portraits and abstract work.
