Outside every government office in India, you will find a plethora of makeshift desks and chairs. These are the hunting grounds for many "entrepreneurs" who help willing punters navigate through the complex process of dealing with bureaucratic government rules. During a normal week, these desks are busy all day long, with assistants running around, set to the tune of old-school typewriters clicking away. But with the lockdown imposed in the wake of Covid-19, they have been temporarily abandoned by their owners, chained to the nearest structure for safety, and awaiting the return of society.
