Chimpanzees are our closest relatives. They share 98% of our DNA, and it's easy to find in them so many common traits that make them so similar to us. During my first visit to Kibale N.P., Uganda, I was lucky enough to observe from very close a male individual resting on the ground. In a short time I was able to capture several expressions, from curiosity to warning, from resting to observing. Showing teeth is a way to communicate between chimps, especially between high-ranking males.
