Varanasi, Benares, is the city of countless faces, it’s the place where tradition and modernity meet, creating a perpetuous tangible paradox.
I wandered the streets of Varanasi, deep in my thoughts, and always, always... my eyes met other people’s eyes.
And a special place in my heart belongs to the children I met.
Anna Parisi (1974), software engineer and photographer, lives between Cagliari and Turin - Italy.
Her photographic language revolves around the relationship between matter and body, analysing fundamental themes such as change, memory and identity.
Her artistic practice includes the use of self-portraiture, which allows her to create poetic and surreal stories where the recurring element is the relationship between the visible and the invisible, the material and the imperceptible.
