Floral Preen

The photograph was made in a studio setting devoid of
background noise to bring attention to the casual preening
behavior & to emphasize the abstract form & graceful feather
flow unique to the African Crown Crane.
The bird comes from a educational facility, with a handler who
educates the public on birds and illegal animal trafficking.
I use my images whenever possible to bring attention to the
illegal wildlife trade.

Photography defines my passion for sympathetically establishing a co-existence with our natural world.
