Qatar, like many other Middle East countries, is going through a period
of rapid urbanisation. New cities of eye-catching buildings and epic
planning are being built as arenas for consumerism, finance and
cultural showcasing.

Monumental in scale, the National Museum of Qatar is an example of
the epic urban statement that these cities use to put themselves on the
global map.

Not yet complete, it’s captured here unpolished and exposed. A bare
structure of ambition, extravagance and innovation carving its own
space into the city backdrop.

Both thrilling and frightening, massive growth of cities is one of the global features of our time. Working as an architectural photographer since 2000, I've become engrossed by urbanism - its structures, narratives and transformations.
