"How Many Daughters, How Many Sons" is a documentary photography based series that looks at the gun violence epidemic through the eyes of parents in the St. Louis Missouri area who have lost a child to gun violence. Jointly inspired by a childhood gun violence memorial by Moms Demand Action Missouri, and a lyric from The Killers' protest song "Land of The Free", the series combines photographs and the parents' own words to tell the stories of the children they've lost, the never ending grief they endure, and how their lives have been transformed in the wake of their pain.
