Damel is a Kazakh girl living Northwestern Mongolia. She comes from a long line of decorated eagle hunters. When I asked Damel why she wanted to become an eagle huntress, she said she was inspired by one other young girl who became relatively famous after a documentary was made of her. Her family was excited to teach her and was proud she would carry on the family tradition.
