The motive is to create simplistic visuals that are directly understood by Chinese of all ages while conveying the Mid-Autumn Festival, where families re-unite to gazing at the Full Moon. The images are presented as a series, featuring various moon cake products under different moon positions, portraying the lead-up to the festival. Paper cutting is the main element, harmonising with the client’s packaging design, history of the traditional Chinese craft, and heritage of moon cake making.
