What is Humanity – Inside Pandora’s Box With the rapid development of science and technology in recent years, the destructive power of human beings has increased dramatically and it could even cause catastrophic damage. But what about the development of our humanity? Have we developed on the inside? Outer growth without inner growth only leads to destruction, just like handing a knife to a small child. What is "the inside"? One uses the words "noblesse oblige", - with power come responsibilities and obligations. It also requires morality and virtue. I think ethics are a reflection of the inside. We merely have power by accident - this humbleness is the key to virtue. Our unlimited desire has helped the development of science and technology. However, at the same time, desire has made us unhappy. No matter how we pursue desire, we will never be satisfied as it is limitless and expansive. It may be time to think and reflect about the meaning of life? By doing this, we can develop on the inside and learn to be humble. When we ask ourselves about our purpose on earth, we should not ignore its negative side but face and acknowledge the ugly reality we wish to avoid. Then, we will be able to explore and ponder humanity. What is humanity? What are we living for? What is happiness? What is prosperity? There are no straight answers. We have to find them by ourselves.
