Entry Description

Favela is the slum in Brazil where people have settled illegally. There are 1150 favelas in Rio de Janeiro, and one in four of the population is living in the favelas. "ROCINHA", the largest slum in Latin America, has the population of 150,000 people. It has been pacified by Military Police in 2011, and it seems that the life became stable at first glance, however, the residents continue to survive.
