In 2013, Cyprus entered the eye of this ongoing global economical storm. An immense Cypriot debt appeared suddenly and led the government of this small country to take immediate and cruel austerity measures. After days of hard negotiations, the Cypriot government came to an agreement with its international lenders for the rescue of its banking system. Now the Cypriot people does not seem to calm down as there are no signs of a clear future for their country.
