The series Extra Ordinary brings together ordinary objects to form surprising combinations

In 2012, I quit as director at Unilever, to focus on my passion: photography. I realised that although I made pictures since my early youth I lacked some of the skills required to create the fine-art images I envisioned. So I went ‘back to school’ and graduated top of my class from the Fotovakschool, Rotterdam in 2015. I try to create tantalising images that capture the viewer’s attention for more than a quick glance. My images mostly show an incomplete story or an unexpected twist that invites the viewer to think and wonder about what she/he is actually seeing and what it means.
