|About the Artist:
Gabe Palacio is a professional photographer with over 20 years experience in photography for print and electronic media. Gabe earned a degree in photojournalism from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Communications in 1986. He spent 4 years learning the photo business from professional photographers including Joe McNally, Ken Regan, Louis Psihoyas, and Jose Azel, before establishing his own photography business.
Gabe has been commissioned and published by notable magazines and newspapers including Sports Illustrated, Fortune, and The Wall Street Journal. In addition to his editorial work, he has shot commercial and corporate images for corporate clients including General Electric, Skoal, Budweiser, and The Discovery Channels.
Gabe has been a pioneer in the use of photography for interactive projects for the web and CD-ROMs.
Gabe has been the principal photographer at The Caramoor Center for Music and Arts since the 2005 Summer Music Festival. His photos of Caramoor have appeared in the program guides as well as many of the local, national, and international publications covering the performances at Caramoor.
Gabe is located within 1 hour of NYC with easy access to the entire Northeast. He is continuously exploring new photography techniques to expand the creativity and the distribution of images. When not shooting photographs he spends time with his family and is an active volunteer fireman in his hometown of Katonah, NY.
